Channel blogging

I couldn't sleep last night (noisy neighbors), so I started flipping through TV channels. I discovered the best dating show ever. It's called Love by Design and it's on HGTV (Home & Garden Television).

Like most dating shows, a young single (male or female) picks one of three other young singles (female or male) to date. Last night, Michael (a young filmmaker) got to pick between three girls (Kelly, Kacia, and Rosanna). But, there's an interesting twist.

Instead of asking the potential dates questions, or anything like that, Love by Design is just that, design-based romance. Michael was interviewed by an interior designer about his tastes. Then we saw tours of the three girls' homes as they described the interior design layout and their personal aesthetic tastes. Then, Michael "meets" the girls by visiting each of their homes (while the girls are out) and checking out their pads. Finally, he picked the girl w/ the pad he liked the most based entirely on her taste in interior design. Huh?

And then ... Michael and the interior designer redid a room in Rosanna's apartment (that's who he picked) before meeting her in person. She loved the new room, they drank some wine, it was love by design. Personally, I would've picked Kacia. She had a solarium and a post-Modern/neo-Victorian kitchen!

This means one thing: I have to start seriously redesigning my apartment. Obviously, it's that important.

OBVIOUSLY!!!

If you need an interior designer, that's my favorite activity, so I can help out.

The main problem with people who say they want to redecorate is that they never want to put any cash into it!! I hate that! It's not going to help just to move your stuff around in different spots. You need to get new accessories or something...like curtains or shades and lamps and pillows or whatever.

You'll need at least $100-250...
