40 days & 40 nights

06.12.2004

And I'll be back in Michigan. How time flies. Not much left to "do" before I head back. And having a well-paying teaching appointment to go back to sure takes a load off my mind. I know I can pay rent, eat, drink coffee for several months.

But I still need one more trip to Cochabamba, and a trip to Santa Cruz w/ a layover in Sucre (never been, need to). So time's starting to close up around me. There's many things I'll miss about Bolivia; but I miss my small-city life in Kalamazoo more. Sorry. Just how it is.

Daniel & Silvia came over this afternoon for coffee & pastries. Little Luciana's now walking, tramping freely all over the place. It's always nice to see them.

This week I'll try to wrap up all my La Paz "work" commitments. As much as possible. My remaining time will consist of gift-buying, travel-planning, and last visits.

You gave such a misleading title to this entry of yours. It's the same as the movie's w/ Josh Hartnett. My first thought was how you gonna complain about celibacy or that you plan to be celibate (100%) for such a long period of time. Anywho, see you in the fall when I return to Kazoo after summer "break". N.

LOL. As long as being "celibate" includes making out, I don't think I've ever been out of action for that long. Maybe, though.

Just wanted to say that you have a very interesting blog. I used to live in Bolivia about 3 years ago and I really miss it. Although I can agree with you when you say you miss the small-city life. Thats the reason I came back home.
