Too busy to post

07.29.2004

Now that my little brother's back in town for a few days, and I'm scrambling to get ready for Matt's wedding in two days, and I'm catching up on comics & movies, and I'm trying to sleep in, I just don't have enough time/energy to post about every little detail. I'm also not paying much attention to news from anywhere, unless it comes from Comedy Central's The Daily Show. It's the best source of news/analysis/commentary I can think of. Seriously. And it's available on CNN International, too.

Meanwhile, I'm just driving around Saginaw looking for brown shoes (wedding), some household items for my new apartment, late night cravings for blueberry pancakes, and just gazing at the long lines of shelves at Meijer, Walmart, Target, Kmart, in newfound awe.

I also have to think about my wedding toast, mostly thinking by re-telling crazy high school stories on the back of Matt's porch, knocking back a beer or three. He's the person (outside family) I've known the longest in my life, one of my closest friends. How do you summarize that in a five minute toast?

Belated welcome back Miguel.

I've been a little out of it these last few weeks and haven't had a chance to get in contact with you. I've got a whole lot of comics for you when you return to Kalamazoo.

I also had to start a pull at Fanfare due to Game Shop's unfortunate closing. I hope this is okay with you.

When will you be back in Kalamazoo? I have that little TV you left here if you would like it back (I found a cheap one for myself)

Anyway, you are busy so I won't bother you. I just wanted to say hi and check in with you.

Thanks, Josh Upson. Yeah, Fahfare's fine, I've never had a problem w/ them (even have a discount card somewhere). And I'll get in touch w/ people as soon as this wedding stuff's all out of the way. I'll call in a day or two. Ciao!

P.S. My email's all messed up (I can receive, but not send due to my brother's uptight security configs on my parents' wireless network making this all a pain in the arse). But I'll be online more often now that our router's fixed.

The reacclimation process. Ahh. And The Daily Show is the best. Period.

Best wishes to the soon-to-be-wedded. I'll have one of those myself, when we get around to it.

Cheers upon your return to Michigan!
