Meetings & office hours
09.27.2004Sat down w/ Dr. Hauptmann (my dissertation advisor) over coffee. We always have great conversations, on a wide range of topics — music, literature, politics, and, of course, my dissertation. Talking to her helped sharpen where my draft for Friday's headed, and settled me on the fact that my previous estimate for the tome's length was exagerated; 300-400 pages will do. Whew!
From there, I went up to campus for office hours. No one swung by, so I just listened to some new music from Matador Records & thought about multi-member proportional electoral systems. After that, I met up w/ Melanie & some other grad students to celebrate Melanie's birthday at Gallagher's. Their meatloaf's really good.
