Weekend at The Parkmont

05.08.2005

Housewarming last night went well, thanks to everyone who came. Great potluck food, wine & beer & soda, and just a chill evening w/ a few close friends. Always a good recipe. Surprisingly, both my cats seemed willing to mingle, too.

Also saw Kingdom of Heaven this weekend. If you're worried about a "crusade" movie in these times, don't. The film was extremely well balanced, showing that religious fanatics exist(ed) on both sides, and that men of good conscience — also on both sides — did their best to keep the peace. Plus, the Knights Templar are the bad guys. But it's also not so PC-obsessed that it wasn't an entertaining epic adventure story.

CouchCouchWoke up late, but quickly cleaned up my apartment. Also, bought a couch — of sorts. Eh?

Spent most of the weekend lazily lounging about, and showing K8 Kalamazoo & West Michigan. It's a compliment, I suppose, that someone from Chicago says Kalamazoo "isn't that small".

Oh! And. This evening? I do complete scrub & install of Tiger.

That's a good piece of furniture you got there. It looks confi. However, I don't think one can lay the head on the arm-rests and take a nap. :-)

That's why humans invented pillows.

I likes the look of it, but that couch doesn't appear to be very comfortable.

Looks like the backseat of an old ford.

I think the couch is cool. looks like something from a posh NY Botique selling $500 scarfs. very classy and retro. good buy.

i also am debating on doing the Tiger install... first I need a big back up drive so I can save my life safely somewhere else during the scrub.
