I'm too tired to get into it (I've had a long weekend). But how bad is Bolivia? Well, a recent survey showed that 6 of 10 Bolivians want to leave the country. Three million (of a population of 8 million) have left. So there.

This week, more protests scheduled in La Paz. Mesa made a personal guarantee parliament will be able to meet. He's also guaranteed that police won't interfere w/ protest marches (headed by people currently under indictment for conspiracy to overthrow the government, that is, plotting a coup) determined to prevent parliament from meeting. How to uphold both? Who knows. Mesa loves talking out both ends of his mouth, so it's just par for the course.

Still, it's good to know that laws agaist sedition, coup-plotting, and inciting violence are finally being considered as worth enforcing. It only took two years, two bombings of parliament, scores of injuries & assaults, and several million dollars in property damage. But better late than never, I guess.

Sunday was the Día de la Tradición Cruceña. So. ¡Elay puej!
