Diet & retro-diet

06.09.2005

For some non-Bolivia news. Unfortunately, there's not much noteworthy in my life lately; I tend to spend much of the time waiting for news from Bolivia, or reading about Bolivian history (specifically, issues of post-1952 nation-building) for my dissertation, interspersed w/ a few stolen moments w/ friends.

But some food-related news: I'm on a diet; my cats aren't. Now, I know I'm not "fat" (I'm still just below 160 lbs), but I feel sluggish & my pants fit too snugly for my liking. So. Diet it is! By which I mean: less meat, more exercise (esp sit-ups), more fruits & vegetables, and more water (less soda).

Annie, on the other hand, is down to a svelt 14 lbs! So. No more diet for cats. For which, I'm sure, Sophie will greatly thank me.

Also, I need air conditioning and/or fans. Lots of fans. Good Lord, it's hot up in here!

I suggest more cardiovascular exercise than sit ups - running, biking, etc. Lower caloric intake, too. Pantalones should fit properly in no time.

Are you serious about the fans? I have at least one, maybe even two to spare by the middle/ end of next week. Let me know.

Nothing new in your life? All this smells on like someone's is falling in love? Am I right? N.
