Witches & whales

Bewitched teaches us a very important lesson. That Nicole Kidman is such a fantastically talented actress that she can play opposite an absolute imbecile & still carry a film. I really wanna see the DVD out takes. I'm sure there are moments she wanted to strangle the infuriatingly one-dimension Will Ferrell. She deserves an academy award for staying professional, composed, and in-character when made to play opposite an ape.

Also, Whale Rider is, contrary to previous belief, not a sequel to Free Willy. Instead, it's an amazingly good look at tribal cultures caught between tradition & modernity. Well worth seeing.

Lastly, I'm back in Kalamazoo, it's Monday afternoon, and I'm now four pages further into chapter 3. Kudos to me.

I caught Whalerider at the theatre and subsequently made every acquaintance of mine rent the dvd. It's a wonderful movie, and one that moved me like no other in quite a while.

I third said appreciation for Whale Rider. Wonderful film.

You may also enjoy The Fast Runner.

I've been bewitched by Nicole Kidman for several years. She strikes me as being gun mheang, flawless.
