1 MILLION POINTS!

I love how grading and point scales are so different from class to class. At MSU we operate on a .5 scale. 4, 3.5, 3, 2.5 ... and so on. I think it's a bit wierd since there is no high A ... just an A. Either you made the cut, or you didn't ... it can really hurt you GPA. Anyways ... my friend Brandon has Management 409 (Strategic Management) with me ... just he has different prof and section. My prof is real cool ... the scale is more or less on a percentage scale .. what I mean it that assignments are 5% of grade, Cases 10% of grade... easy to understand. Brandon's Prof made the class our of 1 MILLION POINTS! Who does that! I can't stop laughing just thinking about it! I can't wait to hear about students crying about why they lost 100 pts on a assignment when that's only .01% of thier grade!

Quick Trip to Saginaw and Detroit ... then I ramble

It's been rainy for days now ... and I haven't had the motivation to do much. Somehow I managed to get to Saginaw, Detroit and Lansing in 24 hrs. Amy decided to head home, Saginaw, for a quick stop and I called to see if I wanted to ride... so I jumped on the oppertunity and before I could say Great Wall, I was in Saginaw eating all you can eat pepper shrimp and sushi at the 1st WOK buffet.. :) You Saginaw regulars know what I'm talking about.

Anywho .. the weekend went great and I was even able to sneak in about ... 300 pages of reading! YEA!

So many things are going on ... Miguel is coming home soon! My grandparent are coming in July to visit... I'm moving away .... Brett is getting married... It's been a difficult year. All I want to do is catch up ... I want to get everything in order. But it seems like the more I try .. the faster life keep changing on me. I used to always say how I loved change... well.... I might need to rethink that, or at least throw in a speed clause. Well at least yesterday I went to the post office. I get a big sense of accomplishment whenever I go to the Post Office. I feel like I get a lot done and it was very important work. All I really did was buy a couple stamps and mail a letter.... but somehow ... I felt like it was a big part of the day. Maybe that is why my Abuelo loves to take care of his paper work. :)

Well ... sorry to switch from topic to topic ... i better run to class! :)

Fields? Databases? HTML?

Right now I am in my ITM 309 class... learning about fields, files, databases and uses of information systems in business... I really wished I could get out of this class. At my last jobs, most of my time was spent in teaching people these exact things. But ... even though I have had programming, Co-op Credits as a I/S student (6), I still need to pay 500 dollars to have someone teach me how to create relational links and query a table.... :) .... I wish I was at the RIV... free burgers and drinks await the first 200 poeople at 4... this class ends at 5... I'm prob gonna miss it....
Losing good friends is always hard

Losing good friends is always hard, this summer I have lost over a hundred of my closet and most helpful friends......

.... for some reason, during the summer, all Class reserve books are removed from the shelves and sent back to thier prespective department. So here I am , left without any text books ..... emailing all my professors to please put them back. I need them. The library isn't the same without them. I wanted to post a picture of the empty reserve self ... but I didn't want to scare anyone.

On a brighter note, I am on campus all day today , classes 8am - 10pm and my favorite a la cart cafe is closed and not offering the low cost high nutritious food..... these next 7 weeks are going to be long and hard.

In Color

So I thought I would add some pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Graduation, visit to Saginaw and our first ever Phiota Class picture.

The second picture is of our 4th Annual Kid's fest that we hold in the spring.

As most of you know. I graduaed last week ... (even tho I still have classes) .... It was a great day. My Mom, Dad and brother Sam came up for commencements and the BBQ afterwards. We grilled like crazy and helped satisfy my thirst for steak! :) Thanks Sam and Dad for taking on the massive gril.

Last week Saloumeh and I went to Saginaw to visit the Fam. We had a great time weighing Miguel's Obeast 21+ lb cat! Saloumeh put them on a diet .. since they are both fat ... it's just hard to tell since one is absolutly larger! :) Don't worry Miguel they are in good hands.

Tomorrow morning I start my summer classes .. this is it. 7 wks and I will be done with the Undergrad Years. yea... Talk to you all soon.

Tassle

I will be walking this Saturday at 4pm in the Breslin. Please come see me! :) oppss.. I think I'm late for my test.... better run!
Where am I?

Currently I am in the computer lab in between finals. This week is it! My last semester to really care about grades. My goal was to make Dean's list ... but I don't see that happening. Oh well, I walk this Saturday and offiicially graduate in July .... after a intense 7 weeks of 15credits!

Anyways, today I will celebrate and go to BW3 after these exams.. I need a beer and more ... I need WINGS! I also lost my JumpDrive ... I am really sad about that. It had all my term papers ..... pictures from the whole semester and basically my life. I feel powerless.....

Please do not comment about: 1) Making backup of data: becuase I do ... 2) Frequency of backups: becuase I do... frequently ....

Ok, my hands are shaking.... I either need more coffee ... or a fat juicy steak. It's been a long time since I had a big juicy steak... last one I can remember was in Delaware at LoneStar.... :(

I need red meat....
